Toddler's first day of school

Things are moving so fast with those little ones! When your child turns two, they're officially a toddler. This is a life stage that lasts until they're four, when we call them a preschooler. At this age, your child is often ready for more new things and is developing rapidly. The first day of school is getting closer and closer.

Ready for more challenge

If your toddler is ready for more of a challenge, you'll often quickly realize this as a parent. You're already thinking about the first day of school, and you're already looking around. Your child is allowed to go to preschool. They're usually welcome from the age of two. They can then play with other children their age a few mornings a week. The age at which children are allowed to go to preschool varies by municipality. A personal backpack is a good choice if your child is going to preschool. Perhaps a dinosaur backpack or a personalized backpack? Let your child choose which backpack they want. This way, you also prepare your toddler for going to school and bringing their own things.

Contact with other children

You're looking forward to the first day of preschool, because your little one will be interacting with other children and participating in many activities together. Their development is booming, and they really need this challenge. Gross motor skills are developing rapidly, such as running, walking, and cycling. Fine motor skills are also developing rapidly, such as an interest in cutting and pasting, drawing, painting, and so on. At preschool, they can respond to these needs. They learn to play together and share. Going to school is also good for their language development. They sing songs together, everything is called by name, and they learn a lot from that. When your child starts school, it's nice to give them their own backpack, such as the personalized teddy backpack or the rainbow backpack. Your child can use it to bring their own fruit and drinks to school.

Difficult phase for parent and child

The first time your child goes to school can be challenging for both parent and child. You're used to spending a lot of time together. But letting go is also part of it. Your little one is discovering the big world, and they can do just fine on their own. It's good to get away from each other for a bit; as a parent, you can take advantage of the time you have to yourself. Your toddler will really enjoy school and make new friends. They're learning a lot, and that's exactly what they need at this stage.
